3D printing instructions
For those not privy to this information, we have a 3D printer available to this classroom. However, the 3D printer is mine and I value it not being destroyed so I keep it at home. With that said, nearly anything you can design in SolidWorks, Fusion, or any other 3D design software can be printed on a 3D printer with relatively high precision and for nearly free. The only real limitation is time as 3D printing is a very simple but slow process. You just need to do the following
- In SolidWorks (or another design software), upload a .stl file to THIS LINK
- Let me know that you are doing so, and I will check whether the size/design of your part is feasible to print on my printer
- I'll bring you the part the next school day (or sometime in the near future)
Remediation/Late-Work Turn-In Instructions
There are no permanent zeros in this class: I am fully fine with you making up old missed assignments as my emphasis is just that by the end of the semester you can demonstrate you have learned something and are ready for the next level of the course. However, it gets very difficult for me to keep going back and checking if and when you submitted something in the dozens of different google form or email submission places we will have throughout this semester, and I can promise you just telling me I will forget. So here is my system for staying organized:
- Go back to the past blog post and turn in the assignment how was allegedly supposed to be have submitted then.
- Complete THIS FORM letting me know what assignment you are trying to get made up or remediated as well as how it has been turned in
- I'll get it graded and back to you in the next few days.
