The kickoff has officially been announced! Where? When? Why? All great questions and here are the answers:
It is not mandatory for you to attend the kickoff in order to work on the robot or compete with BEST, but is highly encouraged and at least a portion of our team needs to attend regardless.

As a right-of-passage to beginning our projects, I need two things from you first:
Once you have these, you are off and running on your project and learning. Our next steps will be for me to sit with you or your group and for us to develop an instructional plan for you to learn what you need to learn or get started building your project. notes on sketching: notes_sketching.pdf
Here's a little more step by step set of instructions for drawing basic shapes: howtodraw_steps.pdf We have the laptop carts checked out today, so we're going to take care of two things today. First, introducing an optional opportunity to y'all to compete in the, TSA, the Technology Student Association (this is optional and can be done outside of this classroom, but if you are interested you can join and compete in one of these events as a part of this class). Second, to set up our online portfolios. The majority of your project work will be documented on these, so putting in a good effort on its foundation today will set you up for success for the remainder of the year.
TSA Objective: Familiarize ourselves with TSA and completion opportunities
Portfolios Objective: Get class portfolio skeleton setup
To those of you I have taught previously, welcome back! To those of you who are in my class the first time I look forward to getting to know you throughout the semester. Compared to my more "regular" courses, this blog will be updated, but still all important documents and information will be posted on here.
I look forward to (re-)meeting you all and am excited to get started! Resources from day 1
